Vizag’s history is littered with references to Ramakrishna Beach. The beach has played host to many historical events. Several of the city’s World War II bunkers are located on the beach, as a reminder of the city’s past. Nearby is the Visakhapatnam Lighthouse. Furthermore, the beach displays several aspects of the city’s history, starting with the INS Kursura Submarine Museum, which is the world’s most famous submarine museum. Another museum on this list is the TU 142 Aircraft Museum. Vizag’s connection with the 1973 Indo-Pak War is commemorated through the Victory At Sea Memorial.
