Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information collected automatically by the app or website, and information from service providers that help us complete a booking.
- Account and contact details: name, phone number, email address, and login details when you create an account.
- Booking and trip data: pickup and drop locations, trip history, passenger details, and preferences needed to provide a ride.
- Location: the app asks before using location. Guests can allow location while using the app so we can set a pickup. Drivers share location during an active trip or event duty, including when the app is closed or not in use, so the Vizag Taxi Hub office can see the vehicle. You can decline location access and you can turn it off in your device settings.
- Photos and camera: drivers may use the camera or selected photos to submit odometer readings and fuel receipts. We do not access your camera or photo library for any other purpose.
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, and how the app or website is used, so we can keep the service working and secure.
- Payment data: payments are processed by our payment provider, Razorpay. We receive payment status and transaction references. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, we use a push token to send booking and trip updates.
How we use information
We use this information to provide taxi and driver services, process bookings and payments, coordinate pickups, share live trip location with our office during an active trip or duty, communicate about your booking, keep the service safe, meet legal duties, and send service messages. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Drivers and the Vizag Taxi Hub office, so a booked trip or event duty can be carried out, including live location during that trip or duty.
- Razorpay, to process payments. Razorpay handles card and UPI details under its own privacy policy.
- Google Maps, to show maps, search places, and calculate routes.
- Companies that host and operate our app and website, under instructions from us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
On the website, if you accept cookies, we also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Those tools run only after consent. The app does not use advertising ID tracking, and we do not sell location data.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax duties, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Trip records are typically kept for 3 years for safety and legal compliance, then deleted or de-identified.
Your choices and account deletion
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to processing, or ask for a copy of your data. To delete your app account and associated data, use https://vizagtaxihub.com/data-deletion or email [email protected] from your registered email with the subject “Delete My Account”. You can also call +91 9966363662.
You can withdraw location, camera, photo, or notification permission at any time in your device settings. Declining location may limit pickup and live trip features.
Children
The Vizag Taxi Hub app and website are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Security
We use access controls and encryption in transit to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the app or website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
