About Bheemili Beach
Bheemunipatnam, also known as ‘Bhimlipatam’ or ‘Bheemli’ seashore, is located near the mouth of the Gosthani River in the Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh, and is a 24-kilometer drive from Visakhapatnam. The separation is convenient for a late-night trip with the family from Vizag to the beach and back.
The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) is in charge of it. The Bheemli seashore provides a lovely seafront for the fishing town of Bheemunipatnam, India’s second most established area, which is dotted with covered cabins and historic Dutch homes as a reminder of its illustrious past. A sixteenth-century Dutch cemetery still stands as proof of the Old Dutch situation.
Another attraction on the shoreline is an ancient eighteenth-century lighthouse that still helps stranded sailors.
